Estimator - Roofing

Hill & Hill Recruitment are working with a well-established roofing contractor who delivers high-quality roofing projects across London and the South East.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, our client is looking to appoint an Estimator to join their commercial team. They specialise in both pitched and flat roofing projects across a diverse range of sectors including residential, commercial, heritage, education and public sector developments.

The company is open to candidates with experience in pitched roofing, flat roofing, or the wider roofing sector.

The Role

* Preparing accurate cost estimates and competitive tender submissions

* Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation

* Carrying out take-offs and producing detailed pricing schedules

* Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations

* Identifying value engineering opportunities where appropriate

* Liaising with clients, suppliers and internal teams throughout the tender process

* Supporting project teams during handover following successful tenders

Requirements

* Previous estimating experience within the roofing sector

* Experience in pitched roofing, flat roofing or both

* Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail

* Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications

* Good communication and negotiation skills

* Proficiency with Microsoft Office and estimating software
