How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Support children with SEND to thrive, grow, and succeed while building the classroom leadership experience you need to become a teacher.

    SEN Cover Supervisor (full-time or part-time, temporary)
    Location: Rochdale
    Pay: £100.00 - £130.00 per day (salary is dependent on experience and/or qualifications)
    Start Date: September 2026

    As an SEN Cover Supervisor, your key responsibilities will include:

    Delivering pre-prepared lessons tailored to meet the diverse needs of students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
    Use effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive, structured environment
    Work closely with teachers and SENCOs to adapt lessons and resources for accessibility.
    Requirements
    To succeed as an SEN Cover Supervisor, you will need:

    Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school, care, or youth work)
    A strong interest in progressing into teaching or education careers
    Knowledge of autism, ADHD, and inclusive support strategies
    Confidence managing behaviour and leading groups of students
    Excellent communication skills and a genuine passion for supporting vulnerable learners
