How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Service Coordinator - Hull | Up to £29,000 + Monday-Friday Hours & Career Progression

    This is a fantastic opportunity for a Service Coordinator who has experience within the forklift, materials handling, plant hire, or engineering sectors and understands the importance of keeping engineers, customers, and service schedules running efficiently.

    Based in Hull, this role offers the chance to join a well-established business where you'll play a vital role in supporting the service operation while benefiting from a stable Monday-to-Friday working pattern and opportunities for long-term development.

    As a Service Coordinator, you'll be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of the service department by:

    Scheduling and allocating work to field and workshop engineers
    Coordinating planned maintenance, servicing, and inspections
    Managing breakdown calls and prioritising urgent jobs
    Liaising with customers, engineers, and suppliers
    Ordering and tracking parts required for repairs and maintenance
    Providing updates on job progress and completion times
    Maintaining accurate service records and documentation
    Processing job sheets and supporting the wider service team with administrative tasksWhat we're looking for

    To be successful in this role, you'll have:

    Previous experience in a Service Coordinator, Service Administrator, or similar role
    Experience within the forklift, materials handling, plant hire, engineering, HGV, or related industry
    Excellent organisational and communication skills
    The ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment
    Strong administrative and IT skills
