How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Maths Teacher (SEN)

    Christchurch

    September - Full time

    £32,916 - £45,352 per annum

    Long term (potential to become permanent for the right candidate)

    We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and inspiring Maths Teacher to join our dedicated teaching team. This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional educator who is passionate about mathematics and committed to helping every learner achieve their full potential.

    The successful candidate will deliver high-quality, engaging lessons that inspire confidence, curiosity, and academic progress across a range of abilities. You will play a key role in creating a positive, inclusive learning environment where students feel supported, challenged, and motivated to succeed.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
    Experience teaching mathematics across relevant key stages.
    Strong subject knowledge and a passion for mathematics education.
    The ability to engage, motivate, and inspire learners of varying abilities and backgrounds.
    Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
    A commitment to inclusion, safeguarding, and promoting student wellbeing.
    The ability to work effectively as part of a supportive team.
    Desirable

    Experience working with students with additional learning needs.
    Experience in alternative provision, specialist education, or small-group teaching.
    Knowledge of intervention strategies to support learners who may have gaps in mathematical understanding.
