How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Our client is a long‑established UK property services and maintenance provider operating across London and the Southeast. With a secure Group turnover exceeding £50 million and a resilient portfolio of more than 35,000 properties, they deliver essential services that keep communities safe, supported and thriving. Their work is underpinned by robust, long‑term public sector frameworks extending to 2040, offering exceptional pipeline security and long‑term career stability.

They specialise in social housing repairs, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), cyclical decorations, and large‑scale building fabric and energy‑efficiency upgrades. Their specialist teams also deliver Hard FM services for acute NHS Trusts. Quality, compliance and community care sit at the heart of everything they do, and they are proud to maintain decades‑long partnerships that enhance vital public infrastructure.

    The Opportunity

Our client is now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take a lead commercial role across responsive repairs, cyclical decorations and lifecycle works within a major housing maintenance contract in Lewisham. This is a key position ensuring accurate cost management, value for money, and strong commercial performance across a diverse programme of works spanning all core trades, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry and more.

Based in Dartford & Lewisham, the role offers a hybrid working model, giving you the flexibility to balance office and home working.

    Key Responsibilities

    *

    *

    Financial assessments and value‑for‑money analysis

    *

Day‑to‑day cost monitoring, reporting and commercial administration

    *

    Processing subcontractor applications and invoices

    This is a full‑time, Monday–Friday role (8am–5pm).

    What’s on Offer

    *

    Competitive starting salary

    *

    £4,872 annual car allowance

    *

25 days holiday, rising to 30 with service

    *

    Extensive employee discount scheme

    *

Company pension, life assurance and income protection

    *

Flexible benefits including Critical Illness, Private Medical Insurance, DenPlan and Cycle to Work

    *

Health and wellbeing support including EAP, BUPA plans and wellbeing resources

    *

Ongoing training, coaching and genuine career progression opportunities

    *

A supportive, people‑focused culture where your development is prioritised
