How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Teaching Assistant - KS1 / KS2 - Stafford/Rugeley - Short/Long Term Role - Start Date: ASAP

    We are seeking a dedicated, caring and passionate KS1 and KS2 Teaching Assistant's to support a number of schools across the Cannock area. This role is offered on a temporary, supply basis which provides you with the opportunity to work in a range of schools supporting KS1 and KS2 classes.

    The successful candidate will be available to work full time, Monday to Friday, and will play an important role in supporting young learners during the early stages of their education. You will be working through a well-established and reputable supply agency. Your duties as a Teaching Assistant will vary on a day-to-day basis; you will be expected to assist the class teacher in the delivery of lessons, support pupils with different learning needs and also providing small-group interventions when necessary. You may be supporting children with SEN needs; this can sometimes be on a 1:1 basis, creating useful resources and working closely alongside the class teacher in order to create a child specific plan.

    The Role Includes:

    Working for a reputable education agency - Academics.
    Working collaboratively alongside staff and parents, with the child's best interests at heart.
    Short term and long term cover opportunities working within KS1 and KS2 settings in Stafford/Rugeley and surrounding areas.
    Supporting the class teacher with general learning duties such as: writing, reading and group activities.
    The ability to provide individual and small group support where required to provide interventions for children.
    Confidence in supporting pupils with SEN needs - this may be on a more 1:1 basis where required.We are looking for someone who:

    Must have experience supporting a primary class (KS1 experience would be desirable).
    Obtains a Level 3 Teaching Assistant Certificate (minimum).
    Is a committed teaching assistant who feels confident in supporting children
    The ability to support SEN pupils when needed within the classroom; this may be through 1:1 or small group work.
    Enhanced DBS.
    Available to start ASAP.
    Able to commute to Cannock and surrounding areas on a daily basis.
    Fully registered to work with Academics.Pay: £193 - £100 per day, depending on experience and assignment. Holiday pay is included in the daily rate.
