How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Can you deliver engaging, inclusive Psychology lessons that inspire curiosity, critical thinking and academic success?

    TeacherActive is working with an ambitious, co-educational secondary school in Enfield to support their search for an experienced Teacher of Psychology. The academy is built on the belief that every child should be supported to succeed at school and in life, with a strong focus on education, community and opportunity. Students at this school are supported and challenged to reach their full potential.

    The school is seeking a committed Psychology Teacher to join them on a full-time, permanent contract from 1 September 2026. The successful Psychology Teacher will deliver high-quality KS4 and A Level Psychology lessons, plan and assess effectively, monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching to meet the needs of all learners. This Psychology Teacher role will also involve supporting pupils pastorally, contributing to enrichment opportunities and working collaboratively with colleagues to promote high standards of achievement, behaviour and attendance.

    To be considered for this role, you will:

    Hold QTS 
    Have a degree in Psychology or a closely related subject
    Have experience teaching Psychology at secondary level, including GCSE and A Level
    Demonstrate strong subject knowledge and an understanding of assessment requirements
    Be confident supporting pupils with SEND, EAL and additional learning needs
    Hold UK Right to Work and show a commitment to high standards of behaviour, achievement and wellbeing
