How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Foot Mobile Engineer (Electrical or Mechanical)
    Location: Central London (Zones 1-3)
    Salary: £45,000
    Benefits: Travel Card Provided
    Hours: Monday to Friday

    The Opportunity

    This is an excellent opportunity for either an electrically or mechanically qualified engineer looking for a varied role across multiple sites. You will be responsible for delivering planned and reactive maintenance while providing a high level of service to clients and building occupiers.

    Key Responsibilities

    Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across multiple commercial sites
    Diagnose and repair faults on electrical and mechanical building services equipment
    Maintain plant including AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors, lighting, power, and associated systems
    Conduct routine inspections and ensure plant is operating efficiently
    Complete maintenance reports and update CAFM systems accurately
    Liaise with site contacts, tenants, and contractors professionally
    Ensure all works are completed in accordance with health & safety procedures
    Support minor installation and remedial works where required About You

    Qualified in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (City & Guilds, NVQ, Apprenticeship or equivalent)
    Experience working within commercial building maintenance environments
    Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
    Good understanding of building services systems and statutory compliance
    Excellent communication and customer service skills
    Self-motivated with the ability to manage your own workload across multiple sites What's on Offer
