How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Electronics Engineer

    Diss, Norfolk

    We're supporting a specialist engineering business developing high-reliability electronic products for demanding automotive and motorsport applications.

    This is a hands-on electronics engineering role where you'll be involved throughout the full product lifecycle, from concept and design through to validation, testing and production support.

    The Role

    You'll work closely with software, systems and manufacturing teams to develop robust electronic hardware used in challenging real-world environments.

    Key responsibilities include:

    * Electronic circuit design and development

    * Schematic capture and PCB layout

    * Sensor integration and validation

    * RF, power management and signal conditioning design

    * Hardware testing and verification

    * Fault finding and root cause analysis

    * Design documentation and technical reporting

    * Supporting products through development and into production

    * Working closely with manufacturing teams to improve reliability and build quality

    What We're Looking For

    We're interested in engineers who can demonstrate experience in some or all of the following:

    * Electronic hardware design

    * Analogue and digital circuit design

    * PCB design and layout

    * CAN or CAN FD communications

    * Automotive, motorsport or other high-reliability environments

    * Sensor technologies

    * EMC and EMI considerations

    * Hardware validation and testing

    * Component-level fault finding

    Desirable Experience

    * RF design experience

    * Advanced PCB technologies

    * Circuit simulation tools

    * Data acquisition systems

    * Embedded systems exposure

    * Automotive or motorsport product development
