How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    This is a rewarding opportunity to join a supportive and nurturing educational environment dedicated to helping children and young people with additional needs achieve their full potential. The school prides itself on delivering personalised learning experiences that enable every pupil to develop academically, socially, and emotionally.

    Whether you are an experienced SEND practitioner or a mainstream teacher looking to move into specialist education, this role offers the chance to make a genuine impact while benefiting from excellent support, training, and career progression opportunities.

    The Role

    As a SEN Teacher, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality teaching and learning to pupils with a range of additional needs.

    You will:

    * Plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons tailored to individual learning needs

    * Create a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment

    * Support pupils in achieving their academic, social, and emotional goals

    * Monitor progress and contribute to EHCP reviews and target setting

    * Work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, parents, and external professionals

    * Promote independence, resilience, and positive behaviour

    * Contribute to the wider life and development of the school

    The Ideal Candidate

    The school is looking for someone who:

    * Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

    * Has a passion for supporting children and young people with additional needs

    * Demonstrates excellent classroom practice and behaviour management

    * Can build positive relationships with pupils, families, and colleagues

    * Has strong communication and organisational skills

    * Is patient, adaptable, and committed to inclusive education

    * Has a genuine desire to improve outcomes for every pupil

    Previous SEND experience would be advantageous, but applications are welcomed from teachers looking to transition from mainstream education into a specialist setting.

    What’s on Offer?

    * Salary of £32,916 – £45,352 (MPR)

    * SEN Allowance of £2,787

    * Permanent, full-time position

    * Comprehensive induction and ongoing CPD opportunities

    * Supportive leadership and an experienced multidisciplinary team

    * Well-resourced learning environment

    * Strong emphasis on staff wellbeing and professional growth

    * Opportunity to build a rewarding long-term career within specialist education
