Shift: 40 hour week

My client, a leading national industrial door specialist, is looking for a positive, proactive Draughtsman to help support their expanding service operations in your region. You will be responsible for creating precise technical drawings and schematics that support architectural, engineering, and construction projects. Proficiency in various CAD software and a strong understanding of system and construction design are essential to ensure the accuracy and quality of all drawings produced. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to innovative projects within a collaborative environment.

As a Draughtsman you will be responsible for:
Create detailed technical drawings, schematics, and plans using CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD, Inventor, SolidWorks) and PDM systems
Produce system design layouts and construction drawings in line with project specifications and industry standards
Work closely with engineers and project managers to translate concepts into accurate technical drawings
Update and revise drawings based on project feedback and design changes
Ensure all drawings comply with relevant regulations, safety requirements, and quality standards
Support with basic graphic design tasks for project presentations and marketing materials when required

The successful Draughtsman will have the following experience
Proven experience in CAD drafting within architecture, engineering, or construction environments
Proficiency in CAD software, including 3D (Inventor/SolidWorks), 2D (AutoCAD), and PDM systems
Understanding of system design principles and construction processes
Experience with machinery, steelwork, hydraulic, and electrical systems
Ability to support design, development, fault finding, and technical documentation
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
Excellent attention to detail and understanding of technical drawing standards
Experience with graphic design tools (desirable but not essential)
Engineering degree (desirable but not essential)
Motivated, detail-focused approach with the ability to work in a fast-paced, project-driven environment
