How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the role

    We’re currently partnering with one of our rapidly investing food manufacturing clients who are looking for a Maintenance Engineer to join their team in Gainsborough. The successful candidate will be given the opportunity to earn qualifications, as well as work part of a close-knit team at a smaller site with big expansion plans.

    Responsibilities will include:

    Ensuring the smooth running of the factory, by performing reactive and planned maintenance work.
    Electrical fault-finding as well as mechanical fault-finding.
    Taking ownership of looking after the workshop, ensuring all the tools are correctly stored as well as ordering new stock when necessary.
    Fault-finding on both the electrical and mechanical components. No programming required but need to have the ability to check I/O’s, read schematics and check HMI Screens.
    The ideal candidate will ideally have an electrical bias.

    About you:

    To be considered for the Maintenance Engineer position, you should have the following:

    A minimum of a Level 3 Electrical qualification
    To have experience within an engineering environment
    Comfortably fault-find on electrical systems and be able to work in a team environment.
    To contribute to the engineering activities across the site.
