How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Project Manager – Façade Replacement (Newcastle)

    Role Overview

    As Project Manager, you will be responsible for the successful delivery of façade replacement and external envelope refurbishment projects across Newcastle and the surrounding region. You will oversee all aspects of project delivery from pre-construction through to completion, ensuring works are completed safely, on programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

    Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, you will lead site teams, coordinate subcontractors, manage client relationships, and ensure compliance with all health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements.

    Key Responsibilities

    Manage façade replacement and cladding refurbishment projects from mobilisation through to practical completion.

    Coordinate site operations to ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to specification.

    Ensure full compliance with Health & Safety legislation, company procedures, and CDM regulations.

    Lead and manage site managers, supervisors, direct labour, and specialist façade subcontractors.

    Act as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, residents, and key stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

    Monitor programme performance and implement recovery plans where required.

    Coordinate procurement of façade materials, access systems, scaffolding, mast climbers, and plant.

    Ensure installation works meet specification, manufacturer requirements, and quality standards.

    Oversee inspection and testing procedures, ensuring all quality documentation is completed.

    Review and approve subcontractor progress prior to payment applications.

    Identify project risks and implement mitigation strategies.

    Attend progress meetings and prepare regular reports covering programme, commercial performance, quality, and Health & Safety.

    Liaise closely with design teams to resolve technical and construction issues.

    Manage variations, site instructions, and contractual documentation.

    Oversee snagging, commissioning, and final handover to ensure client satisfaction.

    Ensure all project documentation is submitted accurately and within required timescales.

    Continuous Improvement

    You will contribute to the continued development of the business by:

    Promoting best practice in façade installation and project delivery.

    Supporting continuous improvement of Quality, Environmental, and Management Systems (QEMS).

    Identifying efficiencies and implementing practical solutions.

    Encouraging collaborative working across all project stakeholders.

    Supporting training and development of site personnel.

    Driving a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

    General Requirements

    Maintain the highest standards of professionalism and confidentiality.

    Ensure compliance with company policies, Health & Safety legislation, and environmental standards.

    Demonstrate excellent organisational, communication, and leadership skills.

    Manage multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail.

    Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, suppliers, and subcontractors.

    Respond effectively to changing project requirements and programme demands.

    Report any incidents, HSE visits, or significant project issues to senior management immediately.

    Person Specification

    Qualifications

    Essential

    Degree or HNC/HND in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related discipline.

    SMSTS.

    CSCS Managers Card.

    First Aid at Work.

    Full UK Driving Licence.

    Experience & Skills

    Essential

    Proven experience managing façade replacement, cladding remediation, or external envelope projects.

    Strong understanding of rainscreen cladding, brick slip systems, render systems, curtain walling, windows, and external wall insulation.

    Experience managing scaffolding and temporary works.

    Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills.

    Excellent leadership and team management abilities.

    Commercial awareness and budget management experience.

    Ability to manage multiple subcontractors simultaneously.

    Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Office and project management software.

    Desirable

    Experience delivering projects under the Building Safety Act and PAS 9980 guidance.

    Knowledge of fire remediation and combustible cladding replacement.

    Experience using Asta Powerproject or Microsoft Project.
