How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Head of Supply Chain
    Concurrent | Colchester

    The Opportunity
Pure Resourcing has been exclusively retained to appoint a Head of Supply Chain for Concurrent.

This is a high-impact leadership role at a pivotal stage in the company’s growth, offering the opportunity to shape and mature a developing supply chain function within a highly technical, fast-moving environment.

Reporting to the Director of Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for driving performance, resilience and long-term capability across supply chain operations — ensuring the business can deliver today while building for tomorrow.

This is not a role where everything is already in place. It is an opportunity to build, evolve and embed scalable ways of working that will support continued growth and operational excellence.

    The Role
The Head of Supply Chain will take ownership of both the strategic direction and operational delivery of the function — leading from the front while developing the capability of the wider business.

This role requires someone who can balance hands-on problem solving with long-term transformation, bringing structure, clarity and alignment across the organisation.
Key areas of focus will include:

Owning and improving production planning and scheduling to support a dynamic environment
Driving procurement excellence and strengthening supplier strategy
Building capability within the function through structured, scalable processes
Leading cross-functional alignment across Sales, Engineering, PMO and Operations
Supporting the development of ERP and planning infrastructure, including Business Central
Embedding a culture of continuous improvement across the supply chain teamSuccess in the role will be defined by the ability to create a well-structured, forward-looking supply chain that supports both operational delivery and future scalability.

    The Person
We are looking for a progressive supply chain leader who thrives in environments that are evolving and not yet fully formed.

You will bring a track record of building, maturing or transforming supply chain or operational functions, alongside the ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels.

    You will be someone who:

Is equally comfortable shaping strategy and delivering it hands-on
Brings structure and clarity to complex or developing environments
Has experience implementing process improvements, systems or new ways of working
Has a strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems, ideally with exposure to system development or implementation
Can demonstrate delivery within high-mix, low-volume, fast-paced environmentsThis role will suit someone motivated by building capability, not just managing performance, and leaving a lasting, visible legacy within an organisation.

    The Business
Concurrent is a long-standing technology-led organisation delivering high-performance embedded computing solutions across complex industries.

With a strong foundation and ambitious growth plans, the business is now focused on strengthening its operational infrastructure — with supply chain playing a central role in that journey.

    The Opportunity for Impact
This role offers a genuine opportunity to:

Shape and evolve a critical function at a key stage of growth
Implement processes and systems that will define future ways of working
Operate at leadership level, influencing the wider strategic direction of the business
Deliver both immediate operational impact and long-term transformationPlease apply by clicking through the link and attaching your CV
