This is an opportunity to join the Estates & Facilities team of a large, well-established organisation that invests heavily in both its infrastructure and its people. Supporting a complex estate of commercial buildings, teaching facilities, accommodation and specialist environments, you'll play a key role in keeping essential mechanical services operating safely and efficiently.
Working alongside an experienced maintenance team, you'll carry out planned preventative maintenance, reactive repairs, fault finding, testing and installation work across a wide range of heating, hot water, ventilation and mechanical building services systems.
Unlike many maintenance positions, this role offers genuine stability, a structured working week and a supportive environment where development is actively encouraged. You'll receive full support to progress towards Competent Person (CP) and Authorised Person (AP) status, gaining specialist qualifications and increasing your technical responsibilities as your career develops.

The Role
Carry out planned preventative maintenance and reactive repairs across a large commercial estate
Diagnose faults and maintain heating, hot water, ventilation and mechanical building services
Support statutory compliance and planned maintenance programmes
Work on a varied portfolio of buildings and plant equipment
Join a collaborative and supportive maintenance team
Receive structured training towards Competent Person (CP) and Authorised Person (AP) status
36-hour working week with rotating early and late shifts
Optional on-call opportunities with additional payments
The Person
NVQ Level 2, City & Guilds or equivalent in Plumbing, Mechanical Engineering or Mechanical Installations
Experience maintaining commercial or industrial mechanical systems
Knowledge of heating, hot water or ventilation plant
Experience carrying out planned preventative maintenance and fault finding
