How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEN/SEMH Teaching Assistant – Leicester

    Smile Education are currently recruiting on behalf of a Leicester pupil referral unit who require additional support in their Primary Phase The school are keen to meet Teaching Assistants/LSAs to work with a small number of their SEN/SEMH pupils in KS1 on a long-term basis. These positions will start in the new academic and will run for at least an academic term, quite possibly longer for the right candidates.

    NVQ Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant Qualification or a degree in Psychology or Special Educational Needs would be idealMy client school are keen to meet caring, committed and enthusiastic teaching assistants who are interested in supporting pupils of a primary age with SEND and SEMH needs. This specialist provision are driven by providing an inclusive education to all pupils.
    The school would love to meet any Teaching Assistants that have practical and theoretical knowledge of SEND, especially those with an interest in Autism.  They are looking for the recruited teaching assistant to work on a full-time basis in order that they establish a good working bond with the pupil(s) they support.

    Please note that this is a challenging but rewarding position that requires relevant previous experience and an understanding that some pupils can be challenging at times.
