How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

South Street Holdings and its subsidiary South Street Securities LLC are an independent provider of specialised financing, serving institutional investors e.g. Asset Managers, Hedge Funds, REITs, and midsize broker dealers. Holding Tier 1 memberships with FINRA, SIPC, OCC, NFA, and FICC, we focus on Repo dealer financing for US Treasuries, Agency MBS, and Algorithmic Trade Execution. Our affiliate, GX2 Systems LLC, is a leading financial technology (FinTech) firm developing high-performance software for the aggregation and spread execution of various exchange-traded and OTC products..

    Role Description

In this capacity, you will partner with the leadership team in the direction, strategic oversight, and commercial deployment and execution of technology, and quantitative analytics. Working in close collaboration with the team, you will drive business and client growth and maintain the relationships with new and existing institutional clients to defend and increase revenues. The successful candidate will identify and cultivate market opportunities and synthesize complex data and market concepts into business and technology requirements for GX2 Systems.

    • Market Fluency: Demonstrate and apply high-level knowledge of constituent markets; mentor junior team members through our rigorous internal training program in fixed income and algorithmic trading.
    • Framework Ownership: Oversee the integrity and evolution of execution frameworks for both institutional external users and internal trading desks.
    • Performance Optimization: Lead the analysis and timely interpretation of performance and Transaction Cost Analysis (TCA), delivering both ad hoc sophisticated strategic reports and actionable recommendations to executive stakeholders and clients alike.
    • Statistical Innovation: Drive the design and execution of data analysis and inference models within a robust, production-grade statistical template.

    Requirements

    • Track Record: Candidates must possess 2-3 years of professional experience in financial markets demonstrating success in meeting and exceeding targets in sales and execution.
    • Technical Prowess: Exceptional problem-solving skills and a history of delivering high-stakes projects under minimal supervision within budget and timescales.
    • Communication: Ability to rapidly articulate complex quantitative concepts in both technical and “business speak” to diverse audiences, including senior management and sophisticated institutional clients.
    • Network: The ability to bring (within contractual limitations), their own client relationships.
