How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Maintenance Engineer

    Salary: £52,000 (Overtime paid at enhanced rates)
    Location: Bradford
    Shifts: Panama, 3s & 2s (Days & Nights – 12-hour shifts)

    The Company

    We are currently recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer on behalf of a market-leading automation and logistics business operating within a highly automated distribution environment.

    This organisation is a well-established international engineering business that continues to experience sustained growth year on year. They provide automated material handling and warehouse solutions to some of the UK's most recognisable retail and e-commerce brands.

Their facilities utilise a range of advanced automation technologies including shuttle systems, robotics, automated storage solutions, conveyors, and high-speed material handling equipment.

    The Role

    As a Maintenance Engineer, your responsibilities will include:

    Carrying out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on a range of automated equipment.
    Maintaining and fault-finding on conveyors, automated storage systems, robotics, and associated machinery.
    Replacing and repairing mechanical components including bearings, rollers, pulleys, belts, and pneumatic equipment.
    Diagnosing and resolving electrical faults using electrical drawings and testing equipment.
    Utilising a computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) to record maintenance activities and manage workloads.
    Completing mechanical and electrical component replacements and assisting with equipment rebuilds where required.
    Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to maximise equipment reliability and performance.
    The Person

    To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:

    A recognised engineering qualification.
    Previous maintenance experience within manufacturing, production, distribution, logistics, or automated warehousing environments.
    Strong mechanical and/or electrical fault-finding skills.
    Ex-forces engineers (Navy, Army, RAF) are encouraged to apply.
