How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Immediate start – 6‑month contract (hybrid after training). Support a busy planning team as an Expeditor, liaising with suppliers, tracking shipments and managing POs. Ideal for candidates with logistics or supply chain experience seeking a dynamic, detail-driven role.

    Material Planning – First Fit Expeditor

    Peterborough

    Salary: £15.38 per hour

    6-month contract

    A fantastic opportunity has arisen to join our client’s fast-paced supply chain operation on a 6-month assignment, with the potential for extension. Based in Peterborough, this role offers an initial onsite training period (approx. 3 weeks), followed by a hybrid model (3 days onsite).

    Role overview:

    You will support the First Fit Planning team as an Expeditor, ensuring efficient coordination between suppliers and internal teams. This role is ideal for someone highly organised with strong attention to detail and a proactive mindset.

    Key responsibilities:

    * Validate shipment plans with suppliers

    * Maintain a 5-day rolling shipment schedule

    * Manage inbound purchase orders and track deliveries

    * Support daily and weekly review meetings

    * Assist with supplier performance and lead time improvements

    * Reconcile order boards for critical suppliers and parts

    * Provide updates on inventory and backorder recovery

    * Support excess inventory and demand balancing activities

    * Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

    * Ensure compliance with quality and HSE standards

    What we’re looking for:

    * 1–4 years’ experience in logistics, supply chain or similar

    * Strong organisational and problem-solving skills

    * High attention to detail and accuracy

    * Confident communicator with a customer-focused approach

    * Ability to manage complex and fast-moving information
