Lead Power systems Project Manager - Hybrid Renewable & Gas Power

Location: London (Extensive Travel to Chile)

An opportunity to lead the development and delivery of a large-scale hybrid energy platform for the Gente Grande project in Chile, combining approximately 1GW of wind generation with 800MW of gas-fired power generation.
Working directly with the Project Director and Board, you will take ownership of the planning, design, procurement, construction and commissioning of the project's integrated power system.

Responsibilities

Lead development of the overall hybrid power system strategy and architecture.
Manage engineering consultants, OEMs and key technology providers.
Oversee permitting, environmental studies and regulatory compliance activities.
Develop CAPEX, OPEX, project schedules and delivery strategies.
Lead procurement activities, contractor selection and tender evaluations.
Coordinate delivery of wind generation, gas generation and supporting infrastructure.
Oversee commissioning, performance testing and system integration.
Manage key stakeholders including regulators, consultants, contractors, investors and industrial customers.

Requirements

Degree-qualified Electrical, Power Systems or Energy Engineer.
Strong experience in power generation, renewables, gas-fired generation or hybrid energy systems.
Background in large-scale energy infrastructure development and delivery.
Experience managing engineering consultants, contractors and OEMs.
Commercial awareness with strong project management capabilities.
Comfortable operating within a lean, fast-paced project environment.
