How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Due to continued growth, 2JCP are looking to expand their global sales team. The focus of this role will be to specifically grow and maintain the 2JCP Filter business. Growth will be generated from the gas turbines within the Oil & Gas and Power Generation sectors. The successful candidate will have experience of developing new sales opportunities and achieving sustainable growth. Experience of selling equipment within one or more of the above mentioned sectors is essential.

    PRIMARY FUNCTION
     Reporting to the Sales Director, support the Group Sales effort by managing regular sales with a defined customer group within a defined energy sector focus area, namely oil & gas and power generation markets.
     Support business growth by engaging with new customers and selling the 2JCP Filtration solution.
     Identify customers not currently being serviced by 2JCP and take a targeted approach to customer acquisition.
     Devise a long-term strategy to continuously support the key accounts within the filtration business.
     Managing and enhancing existing customer relationships.
     Take a professional and progressive approach to supporting the businesses engineering needs. This will include regular interaction with both internal and external customers, and suppliers.
     Support company marketing initiatives targeted at business growth. Supporting on-line webinars and exhibitions to further promote the filter business.
     Be a key player to both internal and external stakeholders to ensure integration into the 2JCP team while creating, developing, and maintaining excellent customer relationships.
     Providing input to overall business planning and strategy development.
     Ensure that internal and external deadlines are met at all times. On time delivery and customer satisfaction form the ethos of our business.

    PRIMARY DUTIES
     Achieve order intake goals against set targets.
     Support the development of business plans to ensure new business goals can be achieved with sustainable profit realisation.
     Obtain regular business forecasts from set customers and present these forecasts to senior management/the board of directors.
     Support the Sales phase by attending regular customer meetings both in the UK and overseas.
     Review and interpret customer requirements provided in the form of specifications, drawings or international standards.
     Demonstrate a good understanding of customer requirements and propose suitable alternatives where relevant.
     Liaise with third-party suppliers where the product demands expertise from external sources.
     Co-ordinate and manage the production of internal and external cost estimates.
     Produce bid cost sheets for Sales Director approval.
     Produce high-quality detailed proposal documents to effectively communicate our offer to the customer, whilst meeting the customer / project requirements.
     Ensure that projects are costed to budget whilst meeting customer requirements.
     Provide sales support to both internal and external customers on an ad-hoc basis.
     Compile clear bid-phase records and electronic packages of technical and commercial information.
     Effectively communicate the project technical and commercial requirements to the rest of the business.
     Maintain the companies CRM system to record leads, monitor sales activity and support business planning
     Take a pro-active approach to product improvement and cost-out

    SECONDARY DUTIES
     Support the project management, engineering, quality and supply chain teams as required to ensure the business meets its customers’ needs on a daily basis. From time to time this may take precedence over primary duties.
     Be involved in a broad range of activities, not just related to the Sales function.
     Perform any reasonable task asked of you by the management team.
     Complete site surveys and condition assessments, assist with the production of technical reports and recommendations as appropriate.
     Be involved in a broad range of business development activities.

    KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE
    Desirable
     A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Sales Management position or Engineering / Applications position.
     Understanding of gas turbines basics.
     Knowledge of the UK & EU markets – specifically relating to gas turbine users.
     Demonstrable record of success in account / sales management.
     Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
     Experience of selling one or more of the following products;
    o Gas turbine associated equipment – power generation.
    o Gas turbine associated equipment – Oil & Gas.
    o Filtration Equipment for Gas Turbines.

    QUALIFICATIONS
    Essential
     Business, Engineering or Manufacturing Qualification to Diploma level or equivalent

    Desirable
     Degree level qualification, preferably to 2:1 level or above

    ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS
     Able to work out of hours, when required to support customer needs
     Full UK driving licence
     Able to travel within the UK and Overseas, sometimes frequently
     Current UK resident
     English speaking
