How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Description:
    As a Laser / Press Brake Operator, you will be responsible for operating laser cutting and press brake machinery to manufacture precision metal components to customer specifications. The successful Laser / Press Brake Operator will work from engineering drawings and production schedules to ensure all work is completed accurately and efficiently.

    Daily duties for the Laser / Press Brake Operator will include:

    * Operating laser cutting and press brake machines

    * Setting and adjusting machinery for production runs

    * Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

    * Measuring and inspecting finished components for quality

    * Performing basic machine maintenance and housekeeping

    * Working closely with production and engineering teams

    * Ensuring all work is completed safely and to production deadlines

    This Laser / Press Brake Operator role offers excellent working hours on a dayshift pattern, including an early finish every Friday to support a strong work-life balance.

    Skills & Experience:

    * Previous experience as a Laser / Press Brake Operator or similar manufacturing role

    * Experience operating CNC laser and press brake machinery

    * Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings

    * Strong attention to detail and quality standards

    * Good understanding of sheet metal fabrication processes

    * Ability to work independently and within a team

    * Reliable and motivated approach to work
