How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    About the Job

    As a Freelance Employability Tutor – Warehousing & Logistics, you will deliver engaging, practical training programmes to adult learners across Nottingham and the wider East Midlands region.

    You will combine your industry knowledge with learner support and coaching to help individuals develop the skills, behaviours, and confidence required to secure employment within warehousing, logistics, and supply chain environments.

    Key responsibilities will include:

    * Delivering training in warehouse operations, logistics processes, stock control, manual handling, and workplace health and safety.

    * Supporting learners working towards Level 1 and Level 2 Warehouse & Storage qualifications.

    * Embedding employability skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and workplace professionalism.

    * Delivering engaging, hands-on sessions aligned to current industry standards and employer expectations.

    * Monitoring learner progress and maintaining accurate, compliant learner documentation.

    * Providing coaching, mentoring, and ongoing support to maximise learner achievement.

    * Ensuring delivery meets quality standards, funding requirements, and learner outcome targets.

    * Supporting learners into employment opportunities and further progression routes.

    Ideal Candidate

    You’ll be an experienced Warehouse, Logistics, or Supply Chain professional with a passion for training, mentoring, and supporting adults into work.

    You will have:

    * Experience within warehousing, logistics, supply chain, or manufacturing environments

    * Experience delivering training, employability programmes, or vocational education

    * Strong knowledge of warehouse operations, stock control, and workplace health & safety

    * A recognised teaching or assessing qualification such as AET, PTLLS, DET, DTLLS, TAQA, or equivalent

    * Strong communication and learner engagement skills

    * Ability to motivate and support learners from diverse backgrounds

    * Full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle

    Desirable:

    * Experience delivering AEB-funded or DWP-funded employability programmes

    * Experience supporting learners into work within the logistics sector

    * Understanding of Ofsted requirements and funded training provision
