TeacherActive is proud to be working with a well-regarded specialist secondary provision in Worcester supporting learners aged 11–19. The school has a Good Ofsted rating and provides a highly supportive, structured environment for pupils with a wide range of additional needs including Cognition and Learning Needs (moderate to profound), Autism Spectrum Conditions, SEMH, ADHD, sensory impairments, physical disabilities, acquired brain injuries and complex medical needs. The school’s ethos is centred around inclusion, communication, and ensuring every young person is supported to achieve their full potential.
We are seeking a dedicated Secondary Teacher to join the school on a long-term basis, with the opportunity for a temp to perm position for the right Secondary Teacher. The successful Secondary Teacher will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons across the secondary age range, with a strong emphasis on behaviour management, consistency, and supporting pupils to re-engage with learning.
The successful Secondary Teacher will have:
• QTS or equivalent teaching qualification
• Experience teaching in a secondary or SEND setting
• Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate challenging situations
• Experience supporting learners with SEMH, ASD, or additional learning needs
• A resilient, patient and adaptable approach
• The ability to differentiate learning to meet complex needs
