How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    The Role

    An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Engineer to take ownership of capital projects across mechanical systems, site utilities, and infrastructure. Reporting to the CAPEX Leader, you will manage projects end-to-end - from concept and design through to installation and commissioning.

    Key Responsibilities

    Support long-term CAPEX planning, including project selection and prioritisation
    Develop engineering solutions in collaboration with key stakeholders
    Produce cost estimates (±30% early stage, ±10% detailed)
    Lead Management of Change (MOC) processes
    Manage contractor selection and vendor engagement
    Oversee full project life cycle: design, construction, commissioning
    Ensure high standards of safety, quality, and delivery performance
    Maintain full technical documentation (P&IDs, SOP's, SLDs, etc.)
    Track budgets, control costs, and report on financial performanceAbout You

    5+ year's experience in a Project Engineering role (industrial/manufacturing environment)
    Strong knowledge of steam systems and process pipework
    Mechanical qualification (HNC/HND/City & Guilds or equivalent)
    Experience with ATEX environments (desirable)
    IOSH or NEBOSH qualified (or working towards)
    Proven contractor and stakeholder management experience
    CAD and SAP experience preferred
    Strong IT skills (Microsoft Office)
