How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    VP Power & Energy

    Type: Full-Time | Executive Leadership
Industry: AI Infrastructure / Energy & Utilities

    About the Opportunity

We are supporting a confidential AI infrastructure platform operating in stealth mode.

This is a rare opportunity to join a business developing industrial-scale AI infrastructure for the next generation of accelerated compute. The company is building AI factories at unprecedented scale, where access to power is the critical foundation for growth and deployment.

This is not a traditional data centre operations role, facilities management position, sustainability function or pure energy procurement role. It is a senior infrastructure leadership appointment focused on securing and scaling power across a multi-gigawatt global infrastructure pipeline.

The successful candidate will lead the development and execution of power strategy across international markets, helping to solve the challenges of power, land, infrastructure and capacity deployment as one integrated system.

    The Role

Reporting into senior leadership, the VP Power & Energy will be responsible for creating and delivering a global power strategy that supports large-scale AI infrastructure deployment across Europe, North America and future international markets.

You will work closely with utilities, grid operators, infrastructure partners, investors, governments and internal development teams to secure power capacity, accelerate delivery timelines and support long-term infrastructure growth.

    Key responsibilities include:

    *

Developing and executing global power and energy strategy across a multi-gigawatt infrastructure portfolio.

    *

Leading utility engagement, grid access strategy, interconnection planning and power delivery pathways.

    *

Supporting powered land acquisition, site selection and large-scale campus development decisions.

    *

Structuring energy procurement strategies, generation partnerships and long-term power agreements.

    *

Evaluating infrastructure risks, connection timelines, power availability and commercial viability.

    *

Working across finance, legal, engineering, development and real estate functions to support strategic investment decisions.

    *

Representing the business with utilities, regulators, governments, investors and strategic partners.

    *

Driving both strategic planning and practical execution to ensure infrastructure delivery objectives are achieved.

    Candidate Requirements

We are seeking an experienced infrastructure leader with a strong track record operating at the intersection of power, energy and large-scale digital infrastructure.

You should demonstrate experience in several of the following areas:

    *

Power, energy or infrastructure strategy at a senior level.

    *

Hyperscale data centres, digital infrastructure, AI infrastructure or large industrial power users.

    *

Utility negotiations, grid access, interconnection and transmission planning.

    *

Securing and managing power capacity measured in hundreds of megawatts or gigawatts.

    *

Site selection, powered land acquisition and campus activation.

    *

Energy procurement, power purchase agreements and generation partnerships.

    *

Infrastructure economics, project risk and commercial decision-making.

    *

Stakeholder management across boards, investors, regulators, utilities and executive teams.

    *

International project delivery, ideally across Europe and North America.

    Ideal Background

The strongest candidates are likely to have gained experience within hyperscale cloud platforms, major data centre operators, digital infrastructure businesses, utilities, grid operators, independent power producers or large-scale energy infrastructure organisations.

We are particularly interested in individuals who understand how power can become a strategic advantage for AI infrastructure and who can operate confidently across technical, commercial and executive stakeholder groups.

Candidates should be comfortable working in fast-moving environments and have a proven ability to influence decisions involving infrastructure investment, capacity planning, power delivery and long-term growth strategy.

    What's on Offer

This is an opportunity to play a pivotal role in building next-generation AI infrastructure at industrial scale. The successful candidate will join a highly ambitious organisation with a significant global growth agenda and the ability to shape power strategy across some of the most important infrastructure projects emerging within the AI sector.

Location is flexible across the UK, Europe or North America, with international travel as required.

All applications will be handled in strict confidence
