How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Is the goal to become a Project Manager? Do you want to be in an engineering environment where you can learn what good looks like? Where you can develop and be properly managed? And...tell people you build chocolate factories for a living.

    As a Project Engineer at Hilton Process Solutions, we can get you there – you will get plenty of exposure of running projects with manufacturing businesses of real substance; our customers are almost entirely global business in the food industry.

    You will need experience of working with installation projects, ideally within process engineering – if your experience is a little different, still let us know and we can talk it through.

    It doesn’t matter if you’re a time-served or qualified engineer, and you may not be working full-time on the projects department in your business – but you do need to be involved and aware of how things work, and what project engineering demands of you.

    This really is a great opportunity to cut your teeth and learn.

    We’re a small team, so most of the time this would be an office-based role, unless you are out on the road – we are based 5 minutes off the M62 in Elland.
