How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Cover Supervisor

    📍 Bradford, West Yorkshire
    💰 Actual Salary: £22,710 - £24,598 per annum
    📄 Permanent | Full-Time (37 hours per week, Term Time Only)

    We are currently recruiting for a dynamic and flexible Cover Supervisor to join a thriving secondary school in Bradford.

    This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain valuable classroom experience, particularly those considering a future career in teaching. The successful candidate will supervise classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged with their learning and maintaining a positive learning environment.

    Key Responsibilities:

    * Deliver pre-planned lessons and learning activities across a range of subjects.

    * Manage classroom behaviour and maintain a focused learning environment.

    * Support students in completing work set by teaching staff.

    * Record attendance and provide feedback on student progress and behaviour.

    * Assist with examinations, educational visits and wider school activities where required.

    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    * GCSE Maths and English (Grade C/4 or above) or equivalent.

    * Experience working with young people in an educational, care, pastoral or customer-facing environment.

    * Strong communication and classroom management skills.

    * Excellent organisational skills and the ability to adapt to different classroom settings.

    * A genuine passion for supporting young people and their educational development.
