How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    We are currently recruiting for an Income Assistant to join a busy Housing Management team within a London Borough on a 3-month temporary contract. This is a great opportunity for someone with housing or rent income experience to support a high-performing income team.

    The Role

    As an Income Assistant, you will provide key administrative and operational support to the Rent Income Team, helping to ensure effective rent collection services and a high level of customer service to residents.

    Key Responsibilities

    Provide administrative support to the Rent Income Team, including managing enquiries and coordinating tasks
    Respond to tenant queries regarding rent accounts, balances, and arrears
    Support the management and recovery of low-level rent arrears and former tenant debt
    Set up and manage Direct Debits and rent payments
    Process and route incoming emails, calls, and correspondence
    Support Universal Credit verification and communications with tenants
    Assist in preparing court documentation and enforcement actions
    Maintain accurate records and produce reports on arrears and income performance
    Liaise with internal teams to ensure a joined-up service for residents
    Deliver excellent customer service across face-to-face, phone, and digital channelsAbout You

    We're looking for candidates who:

    Have experience in housing, income collection, or an administrative support role
    Possess a good understanding of rent accounts, arrears, or housing services
    Have strong customer service and communication skills
    Are organised, detail-oriented, and able to manage a varied workload
    Have good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and database systems
    Are confident handling sensitive conversations with tenants in a professional mannerWhat's on Offer
