How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Project Manager - Fit-Out

    Location: Manchester

    Salary: £60,000 - £75,000 + Benefits

    The Client

    Our client is an interior fit-out business with over 20 years' of trading history who specialise in high end commercial office refurbishments. Their professionalism, attention to detail, quality and delivery has lead to them being one of the most respected companies in the industry. They are looking to add an experienced Design & Build Project Manager to their team.

    The Role

    The Project Manager will have overall responsibility for the successful management and delivery of turnkey D&B office fit out projects. Primarily working with the Account Director and wider project team, the Project Manager's focus will be around ensuring all projects consistently perform well on matters of health & safety, programme management, commercial control and quality of installation.

    Responsibilities:

    Establish close working relationship with Account Director, ensuring clear understanding of project scope, targets and understanding of all details of the project
    For being the client's key point of contact throughout the works, managing expectation, assessing any risk and escalating where appropriate.
    Delivery of projects to the current "Project Manager Performance Targets & Measures" for client satisfaction, effective project management, effective change management and open & honest behaviours.
    Development of robust programme for delivery of the projects, and clear communication of this to wider teams (internal and external - including clients and suppliers), which is controlled and updated on regular basis.
    Ensure regular internal team communication occurs with an agreed agenda. Ensure procurement process occurs in line with agreed contract scope, and in accordance with construction programme - highlighting any risks before they become irreparable.
    Ensure site teams have all necessary information in a timely and consistent manner to deliver projects to the right quality and on time.
    Direct sign off and approvals for construction issue drawings together with wider team - no drawing issued without sign off.
    Manage RFI's, Risk Registers and CCR's throughout all projects, ensuring all completed in timely manner and ensure that commercial matters/CCR's are raised with and understood by the client team (supported by the project team).
    Produce and issue weekly reports for clients on all projects.
    Work closely QS team to ensure that budgets are adhered to and improved through sensible thinking - but without any reduction on quality.
    Monitor performances on site - ensure quality and programme are maintained throughout and resolve matters of risk.
    Chair meetings and produce minutes in timely manner as required - always with agreed and pre-issued agenda.
    Undertake snagging inspections, produce snagging lists and ensure that site is handed over with minimal defects.
    Liaison with all third party providers to ensure that their works are coordinated with the clients.
    Liaison and dialogue with all statutory bodies and ensure provision of full O+M files at point of handover with all supporting documentation and certification.
    Honesty throughout in regard to all areas of the project - if problems, raise them with the wider team.

    Key Attributes:

    Commercial Fit-Out experience is essential
    Design & Build experience is essential
    Effective time management
    An ability to communicate in all levels from Client to Site Operatives
    Must have good leadership skills
    Hard working and motivated
    Hold a full UK driving licence.
    In addition, you must hold current SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid at Work certification
