We’re pleased to be supporting a well established and growing creative production business in Leeds that is looking to recruit an experienced Production Manager to lead its production operation.
The company works with a diverse range of clients across the hospitality, leisure, events, food & drink, retail and entertainment sectors, producing high quality visual communications, branded environments, point of sale materials, event graphics, signage and promotional displays for businesses ranging from ambitious start-ups through to nationally recognised brands.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Manager, Production Supervisor or Senior Production professional looking to take ownership of a busy production department. Candidates from either a large format or small format digital print background will be considered.
This is a fast paced environment where priorities can change quickly. The successful candidate will need to be comfortable thinking on their feet, managing multiple projects simultaneously and reacting to last minute client requirements whilst keeping production running smoothly.
The Role
You will be responsible for overseeing the day to day running of production, ensuring work is planned, scheduled and delivered efficiently whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality and customer service.
You will work closely with the production team, management and clients to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget and to specification.
Key Responsibilities
Managing the day to day production operation
Planning workloads and allocating resources to ensure deadlines are achieved
Leading, motivating and developing the production team
Monitoring productivity, quality and departmental performance
Reacting to changing priorities and last minute requests whilst keeping production on track
Identifying opportunities to improve efficiency and workflow
Managing production schedules and prioritising workloads
Working closely with clients, suppliers and internal departments
Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Supporting recruitment, training and development of staff
Maintaining high standards of quality across all production activitiesRequirements
Previous experience in a Production Manager, Production Supervisor or similar leadership role
Experience within either a large format, digital print, signage or commercial print environment
Strong people management and leadership skills
Experience planning workloads and managing production schedules
Ability to think on your feet and adapt to changing priorities
Good commercial awareness and problem solving ability
Strong communication and organisational skills
