How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Technical Services Manager

    Northamptonshire | £80,000 - £100,000 + Benefits or £450/day

A well-established construction and fit-out contractor is seeking an experienced Technical Services Manager to join a major high-specification project in Northamptonshire.

This is an opportunity to join a flagship development with approximately 15 months remaining on the programme, taking responsibility for the coordination and delivery of key building services and technical packages through to completion.

The client is open to considering both permanent and freelance candidates.

    The Role

Reporting into the project leadership team, you will be responsible for:

Managing technical services delivery across key project packages.

Coordinating MEP subcontractors, consultants and design teams.

Driving programme, quality and commissioning activities.

Managing technical interfaces between construction, fit-out and services elements.

Monitoring progress and resolving technical issues on site.

Supporting successful project delivery through all remaining stages of the programme.

Ensuring compliance with project specifications and client requirements.

    About You

The successful candidate is likely to have:

Experience as a Technical Services Manager, Building Services Manager or M&E Manager.

A strong background delivering projects for main contractors or specialist fit-out contractors.

Experience managing MEP packages on complex construction projects.

Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills.

The ability to drive programme and technical performance on site.

A proactive and solutions-focused approach to project delivery.

Experience within hospitality, commercial fit-out, residential or other high-specification developments would be advantageous.

    What's on Offer

£80,000 - £100,000 basic salary plus benefits package.

Alternatively, a long-term freelance assignment at circa £450 per day.

A major live project with around 15 months remaining.

The opportunity to work on a technically challenging, high-value development.

Long-term career prospects within a growing and successful contractor.

For permanent applicants, there will be opportunities to move onto future projects across London and the South East following completion of the current scheme.

This role will require regular site attendance in Northamptonshire and would suit candidates located within a reasonable commuting distance or willing to travel as required
