How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    We have an exciting opportunity for a Head of Quality & Compliance to join a well-established, fast-growing business, leading and developing the function across a diverse consumer product range.
    This is a high-impact, senior role with real ownership, visibility, and influence across the business. You’ll take the lead on quality assurance, regulatory compliance, product safety, and supplier standards, working closely with senior leadership and global teams to drive best practice and continuous improvement.
    You’ll be responsible for managing the full quality and compliance function, covering everything from product development through to market.
    Day to day, this will include:
    * Ensuring products meet UK, EU, and international regulations
    * Managing technical documentation and product safety standards
    * Overseeing audits, inspections, and supplier compliance
    * Driving improvements across the quality management system
    * Supporting sourcing and supply chain teams with compliance risk
    * Leading certification processes including FSC and audits
    * Managing and developing a small team
    You’ll also be involved in wider projects, working cross-functionally and helping shape processes as the business continues to grow.
    Requirements:
    * Strong background in quality / compliance within consumer products
    * Experience working across regulated categories (e.g. hardlines, gifting, FMCG or similar)
    * Confident managing audits, certifications, and supplier standards
    * Previous experience leading or mentoring a team
    * Able to manage multiple priorities and work cross-functionally
    * Strong attention to detail with a practical, solutions-focused approach
