How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Approved Electricians – Industrial New Build Project (JIB Agreement)

    Position: Approved Electricians
    Location: Hertfordshire
    Duration: 9–12 Months
    Project: New Build Industrial Facility
    Hours: 10 hours per day - 7 days per week - 11 day fortnight

    Pay Rate: £21.25 per hour + holidays (JIB Approved Electrician – Own Transport Rate)

    Overtime Rates

    * Overtime 1 (Mon–Sat after normal working hours): £31.88 per hour (Time and a Half)

    * Overtime 2 (Sundays & Bank Holidays): £42.50 per hour (Double Time)

    * Accommodation allowance/accommodation provided

    * Travel & Fare

    * £2.37 IBA bonus

    Overtime paid in accordance with the current JIB National Working Rules and Industrial Determination.

    Job Description

    We are currently recruiting experienced JIB Approved Electricians for a major new build industrial project. This is a long-term opportunity offering 9–12 months' work on a large-scale industrial development.

    The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out high-quality electrical installation works in accordance with current regulations, project specifications and site programmes.

    Duties & Responsibilities

    * Installation of industrial containment systems including tray, basket, trunking and conduit.

    * Installation and termination of SWA and LV cabling.

    * Installation of lighting, power, distribution boards and control systems.

    * Reading and interpreting electrical drawings and specifications.

    * Testing and inspection of completed installations where required.

    * Fault finding and rectification works.

    * Ensuring all works comply with BS7671 and current industry standards.

    * Maintaining high standards of health, safety and housekeeping on site.

    * Working effectively as part of a project team to achieve programme deadlines.

    Requirements

    * Valid ECS Gold Card – Approved Electrician.

    * NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation or equivalent.

    * 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

    * 2391 Inspection & Testing (preferred but not essential).

    * Previous experience on industrial or large-scale commercial projects.

    * Ability to work independently and from technical drawings.

    * Own transport required.

    Package

    * £21.25 per hour standard rate (Own Transport).

    * Overtime available:

    * Time and a Half – £31.88/hr

    * Double Time – £42.50/hr

    * Weekly pay.

    * Long-term project duration (9–12 months).

    * Immediate start available.
