How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job Title: Temporary Care Assistant (Agency) – Days & Nights
    Location: Boscombe, Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole
    Contract Type: Zero Hours / Temporary Agency Work

We have recently secured new contracts in various locations in and around Bournemouth and are now recruiting experienced Care Assistants to support ongoing shifts.
    This is an excellent opportunity for applicants looking for consistent agency work, with both day and night shifts available.
    The Role
    As a Temporary Care Assistant, you will be supporting residents with day-to-day care in a nursing or residential care home setting. Duties may include:
    *
    Assisting residents with personal care (washing, dressing, toileting)
    *
    Supporting with mobility and safe moving & handling
    *
    Providing companionship and emotional support
    *
    Assisting at mealtimes and encouraging hydration
    *
    Supporting residents with dementia or complex needs (where required)
    *
    Reporting concerns to senior staff and completing relevant documentation
    *
    Maintaining dignity, privacy, and person-centred care at all times
    Shift Availability
    ✅ Days and Nights available
    ✅ Regular work available iin Boscombe, Christchurch, Poole
    ✅ Zero hours contract – work to suit your availability
    Eligibility Criteria (Important)
    Due to continuity requirements from the service, applicants must meet the following:

    Must be eligible to work full-time hours in the UK
    *
    No sponsorship available
    *
    Not suitable for students (continuity requirement)
    *
    Minimum 3 months paid care experience in the UK
    *
    Enhanced DBS check required
    *
    If you do not have one on the update service, Staff 2000 Recruitment can assist with renewing this if needed
    *
    Care Certificate preferred
    *
    Refresher / update training can be arranged by the agency if required
    *
    Must be able to provide 2 satisfactory employment references
