How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Vehicle Technician / Workshop Supervisor

    £34,000–£40,000 + Monthly Profit Share + Annual Bonus + Pension + Christmas Bonus + Benefits Monday –Friday Only – No Weekends 

    Our client are a long‑established, very busy, family‑run garage with an excellent local reputation — and due to continued demand, they are looking for experienced Vehicle Technicians, ideally with some management or supervisory experience.

    What We’re Offering

    up to £40k basic salary (OTE £46,000)

    What We’re Looking For

    Experienced Vehicle Technician or Mechanic (minimum 6 years’ experience)

    Full UK driving licence

    Strong diagnostics and repair capability

    Ability to interpret schematics and technical information

    Confident using hand and power tools

    Good customer service and communication skills

    Mature judgement, strong decision‑making and the ability to price jobs accurately

    Management or supervisory experience is highly desirable

    The Role

    As a Motor Vehicle Technician/ Mechanic, you will play a key role in ensuring vehicles are repaired, serviced and maintained to the highest standards. Reporting to the Service Manager, you will:

    Diagnose faults and carry out repairs efficiently and safely

    Perform servicing, maintenance and assembly tasks

    Use diagnostic equipment and technical schematics effectively

    Deliver excellent customer service and clear communication

    Support workshop organisation and workflow

    Apply strong judgement and decision‑making to maximise efficiency and profitability
