How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Art & Design Teacher – Secondary School

    Location: Boston
    Salary: MPS/UPS (depending on experience)
    Start Date: September 2026
    Contract Type: Part-time (3 Days per Week) | Long-term

    GSL Education is seeking a creative and passionate Art & Design Teacher to join a secondary school in Boston from September 2026. This is an exciting part-time opportunity for an enthusiastic educator who can inspire students through creativity, innovation, and artistic expression.

    Working three days per week, the successful candidate will deliver engaging Art & Design lessons and support students in developing their practical, creative, and analytical skills across the curriculum.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Plan and deliver high-quality Art & Design lessons across KS3 and KS4
    Encourage creativity and self-expression through a range of artistic techniques and media
    Support students in developing practical and theoretical knowledge of Art & Design
    Assess, monitor, and report on student progress
    Prepare students for coursework and examinations where appropriate
    Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment
    The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent teaching qualification
    Experience teaching Art & Design in UK secondary schools
    Strong classroom management and organisational skills
    A passion for creative education and student achievement
    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
