Stonetech Recruitment are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator / Welder Fabricator/ CNC Machinist to join a well-established specialist in architectural and bespoke metalwork based in Colchester. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for long-term stability, varied project work, and the chance to further develop their fabrication and machine operating skills.
Working in a busy workshop environment, you’ll be producing bespoke metalwork components across a range of sectors, using aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with strong fabrication experience and a good eye for detail.
Key Responsibilities:
• Fabrication and welding of aluminium, stainless steel, and mild steel
• Reading and interpreting technical engineering drawings
• Manufacturing bespoke architectural metalwork
• Setting and operating laser cutting machinery
• Operating turret punch and press brake machinery
• Water jet operation
• Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
• Working independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
Ideal Candidate:
• Previous experience as a Fabricator or Welder Fabricator
• Strong fabrication background across multiple materials
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Experience operating fabrication machinery
• Good workshop knowledge and attention to detail
• Reliable, hardworking, and able to work well within a team
Desirable Skills:
• Laser setting and operation
• Turret punch operation
• Press brake setting and operating
• Previous experience within architectural or bespoke metalwork
