How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Commercial Refrigeration Engineer - London & Surrounding Areas

    Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
    Location: London and surrounding areas
    Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
    Hours: 40 hours per week

    About the Role

    We are seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Refrigeration Engineer to join a growing team, providing service, maintenance, and repair support across a wide range of commercial sites throughout London and the surrounding areas.

    This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled engineer with strong fault-finding abilities and hands-on experience working on commercial refrigeration systems. While the role is predominantly focused on refrigeration equipment, there will also be some work carried out on commercial air conditioning systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    Carry out planned preventative maintenance, servicing, and reactive repairs on commercial refrigeration equipment.
    Diagnose and repair faults on a variety of systems including cold rooms, integral cabinets, remote packs, display refrigeration, and associated controls.
    Undertake service and maintenance work on commercial air conditioning systems when required.
    Work on refrigeration and HVAC equipment from a range of manufacturers.
    Complete detailed service reports and maintain accurate documentation.
    Ensure all work is completed in line with F-Gas regulations and Health & Safety requirements.
    Provide excellent customer service and technical support on-site.
    Participate in an on-call rota (standby is optional).

    Requirements

    Proven experience as a Commercial Refrigeration Engineer.
    F-Gas Category 1 (2079) certification (essential).
    NVQ Level 2 or Level 3 in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent).
    Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills.
    Experience working on commercial refrigeration systems, with some knowledge of commercial air conditioning equipment beneficial.
    Full UK driving licence.
    Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
