How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Position:
    Business Development Manager

    Location:
    Covering UK/EMEA (Need to be based Midlands/South UK)

    Salary:
    £Negotiable + bonus + car allowance

    The Role:
    • A specialist business development role part of a commercial cross functional team that will be responsible for new business development across the EMEA region.
    • You will have high levels of autonomy along with the norm of keeping all CRM and customer details up to date and running your own diary effectively
    • Sustainable growth through business development and the self-creation of finding and nurturing new customers with a commercial responsibility in excess of £1m net revenue sales value and support investment required to deliver growth through.
    • Look at new areas within the aerospace, defence, automotive, medical, electronics markets

    Requirements:
    • An experienced candidate that can bring new thinking, be able to explore the “new” and open future doors for their brands.
    • Travel to see customer within the UK & EMEA
    • Build relationships internally & externally
    • You’ll be a composite specialist, technically minded person within a technical consumable business, in a perfect world you will be experienced in the recommendation of adhesives, chemicals, and raw materials in the advanced composite market.
    • Be able to demonstrate a very strong background in new business development where you have established sustainable value and growth through 1st class account management in different countries & cultures to create and support the demand.
    • Possess the gravitas and be comfortable communicating at levels of stakeholders
    • Technical ability gained through the theory supported by the quality practical hands-on experience at all levels to ensure you can develop the brand from a technical mindset and solution orientation.
    • Account management experience and commercial astuteness with P&L understanding, how and where to make a difference. Through understand their business, SWOT and performance and implementing growth plans.
    • A self- starter – some who brings energy, tenacity and the can-do approach that is required and be able to roll their sleeves up. Driven to increase market share with your customers and look for new opportunities.
    • Ensuring a comprehensive contact & network strategy is in place
    • Prioritization of time to gain the reward through invest and effort required
    • Work with and as part of their cross functional team to maximise the expertise with the business to further support and develop each account.
    • Quickly absorb the knowledge and technical experience required to have the confidence to discuss, present and represent their brand portfolio
