How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Reintegration Alternate Provision Lead
MPS/UPS + TLR | Permanent Opportunity | Secondary School Setting
Are you an experienced and passionate educator with a commitment to inclusion, pupil wellbeing and improving outcomes for vulnerable learners?
We are seeking an outstanding Reintegration Alternate Provision Lead to join a successful and ambitious secondary school. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced teacher or middle leader to shape and lead a specialist provision that supports pupils with SEND, SEMH and additional barriers to learning, ensuring they receive the highest quality education and support.
As Reintegration Alternate Provision Lead, you will provide both strategic and operational leadership of the school's alternative provision, creating an inclusive and nurturing environment where pupils can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. You will be responsible for driving standards, developing staff, and ensuring effective systems are in place to support behaviour, attendance, engagement and successful reintegration into mainstream education.
    The Role
The successful Reintegration Alternate Provision Lead will:
    *
Lead the day-to-day operation and ongoing development of the alternative provision
    *
Implement clear systems, routines and high-quality practices aligned with whole-school priorities
    *
Ensure excellent safeguarding, attendance and behaviour standards
    *
Develop and oversee a bespoke curriculum that supports engagement, progress and transition
    *
Monitor the impact of teaching, attendance, behaviour and pupil outcomes through effective quality assurance processes
    *
Lead, coach and develop staff to create a consistent and accountable team culture
    *
Embed relational, restorative and trauma-informed approaches across the provision
    *
Build strong partnerships with families, external agencies and school colleagues
    *
Lead reintegration pathways and transition planning to support pupils returning successfully to mainstream education
    Essential Requirements
    *
    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
    *
    Degree-level qualification or equivalent
    *
Experience teaching pupils with SEND and/or SEMH needs
    *
    Strong behaviour management experience
    *
A proven ability to adapt curriculum and teaching strategies to meet the needs of vulnerable learners
    *
Excellent communication, organisation and leadership skills
    *
A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities and inclusive practice
    Desirable
    *
Experience working within an alternative provision setting
    *
Leadership experience, including line management or provision development
    *
    SEND, SEMH or leadership qualifications
    *
Knowledge of reintegration processes and transition planning
    *
Understanding of trauma-informed approaches and alternative provision frameworks
    What We're Looking For
The ideal Reintegration Alternate Provision Lead will be resilient, compassionate and highly motivated, with a genuine commitment to inclusion and improving life chances for young people. You will be a reflective practitioner who maintains high expectations, develops strong relationships and remains solution-focused when faced with challenges.
We are looking for an experienced and compassionate education professional with a strong understanding of SEND, SEMH and inclusive practice. You will have a proven track record of supporting vulnerable learners, managing behaviour effectively and adapting teaching approaches to meet a wide range of needs.
The successful candidate will be confident in building positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues, while demonstrating strong leadership, communication and organisational skills. Experience within alternative provision, reintegration planning or leading a specialist area of provision would be advantageous.
You will be a resilient, emotionally intelligent practitioner who is committed to improving outcomes for young people. A reflective and proactive approach, combined with high expectations, excellent classroom practice and the ability to remain calm under pressure, will be key to success in this role.
Most importantly, you will be passionate about inclusion and dedicated to helping every pupil overcome barriers to learning, engage positively with education and achieve their full potential.
This style works particularly well on CV Library and school websites because it reduces repetition, improves readability and focuses on selling the opportunity rather than listing requirements.
    Why Apply?
This is an opportunity to make a lasting impact within a forward-thinking secondary school that values inclusion, professional development and innovation. As Reintegration Alternate Provision Lead, you will play a pivotal role in shaping provision, supporting vulnerable pupils and contributing to whole-school improvement.
