How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The successful candidate will be able to build trusted relationships quickly, provide clear and balanced advice, and manage sensitive casework with professionalism, sound judgement and attention to detail.  You should be able to provide a friendly and flexible approach to the HR needs of our clients who require varying levels of support and a different approach to how this is applied.

    Key responsibilities

Provide expert HR advice and guidance to managers on a wide range of employee relations matters.
Manage complex casework including disciplinaries, grievances, capability, sickness absence and performance management.
Support and advise on organisational change programmes, including restructures, redundancy processes and consultation.
Lead or support TUPE transfer activity, including due diligence, consultation, employee communications and related documentation.
Provide advice and guidance to managers to enable them to manage employee matters confidently, consistently and in line with employment legislation and best practice.
Prepare clear and accurate HR documentation, including letters, report writing, meeting notes, case summaries and outcome correspondence.
Identify risk, provide practical recommendations and ensure appropriate escalation of complex or sensitive matters.
Develop, review and implement HR policies, procedures and templates that are legally compliant, practical and appropriate for different working environments and industries.
Support recruitment activity, including research to mitigate potential challenges, writing adverts, selection processes and interview guidance.
Draft, review and advise on employment contracts, contractual variations and related HR documentation.
Provide flexible HR consultancy support across a range of industries, including regulated
and people-focused environments including the care sector.
Work collaboratively with stakeholders to deliver timely, professional and solution-focused HR support.
    About you

Hold CIPD Level 7 qualification and have a minimum of 5 years experience of working at this level.
Hold a full UK driving licence and have your own vehicle.
Experienced HR generalist with a strong track record of managing complex employee relations cases.
Sound knowledge of UK employment law and confidence applying this in practical workplace situations.
Experience supporting restructures, redundancy consultation and organisational change.
Knowledge and practical experience of managing TUPE transfers.
Proficient in recruitment processes, employment contract work, contractual changes and HR policy and procedure development.
Able to adapt HR advice and support across different industries, with the confidence to work in the care sector and other regulated environments.
Confident advising senior managers and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex matters clearly and sensitively.
Highly organised, with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
Professional, discreet and resilient, with sound judgement and a balanced approach to risk.
    What we offer

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR professional to take on a varied and rewarding consultancy role, working across a broad range of people matters and making a meaningful impact through practical, professional HR advice.

Office based role in the centre of Seaford with free on-street parking and close to local public transport links.
Full or part time (30 + hours per week) considered.
Private healthcare following the successful completion of a 6 month probationary period.
Working within a collaborative friendly team sharing knowledge and experience.
Feel appreciated and valued within a business which is committed to providing a fun and supportive environment to employees.
