How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    A well-established fire safety consultancy is seeking a motivated Fire Risk Assessor to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Fire Risk Assessor looking to develop their career within a supportive and professional environment.

    The successful Fire Risk Assessor will work across a varied portfolio of residential, commercial, healthcare and education properties. This Fire Risk Assessor position offers exposure to a diverse range of clients and projects.

    The appointed Fire Risk Assessor will be responsible for delivering high-quality fire risk assessments and fire safety advice. An ambitious Fire Risk Assessor will find excellent opportunities for professional growth and progression.

    The Fire Risk Assessor's Role

    The Fire Risk Assessor will conduct Type 1, 2, 3 and 4 fire risk assessments across a range of property types, ensuring compliance with current fire safety legislation and guidance.

    Responsibilities will include producing detailed reports, identifying fire safety risks, recommending remedial actions and liaising with clients to provide practical fire safety solutions.

    Projects will include residential blocks, commercial premises, healthcare facilities and educational buildings.

    The Fire Risk Assessor

    The successful candidate will ideally have:

    Experience undertaking fire risk assessments independently
    A recognised fire risk assessment qualification
    Strong knowledge of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order
    Excellent report writing skills
    Full UK driving licence
    Membership of the IFE, IFSM or a similar professional body would be advantageous
