How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

The successful Senior Project Manager will play a key role in shaping project strategies, governance frameworks and delivery approaches while working closely with public sector organisations and key stakeholders.

With a strong pipeline of work across infrastructure, regeneration and wider built environment projects, this consultancy continues to support some of the UK's most significant public sector initiatives. This Senior Project Manager opportunity would suit a professional looking to take ownership of complex programmes while benefiting from a collaborative environment and clear progression opportunities.

You must have prior construction consultancy experience as a Project Manager to be considered for this role.

Advising public sector clients on project governance and delivery strategies.
Developing programme structures, reporting frameworks and governance processes.
Managing stakeholder engagement across multiple organisations and authorities.
    Coordinating multidisciplinary consultant teams.
Supporting business case development and project initiation activities.
Monitoring risks, opportunities and project controls.
Preparing and presenting reports to senior stakeholders and governance boards.
Supporting the development of junior project management professionals.

    The 'Senior Project Manager'

The ideal Senior Project Manager will have strong experience in infrastructure, regeneration or wider built environment projects, particularly within stakeholder-heavy environments.

    Requirements:

Experience working as a Senior Project Manager within a construction, infrastructure or project management consultancy.
Strong pre-contract and project initiation experience.
Experience working with public sector clients and public authorities.
Knowledge of programme management methodologies and governance frameworks such as PRINCE2.
Infrastructure, regeneration or wider built environment project experience.
Degree qualified in Project Management, Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
Chartered status or working towards MAPM, MRICS, MICE or similar professional accreditation.
Engineering or regeneration project experience would be advantageous.

    In Return?

    £68,000 - £80,000
    Performance-related bonus.
    Pension scheme.
    Private healthcare.
    Professional membership fees paid.
    Ongoing training and professional development.
Clear progression towards Associate Director level.
Exposure to major public sector and infrastructure programmes.
