How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Job description

    Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced CNC Miller to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating manual machines, performing CNC setting and programming, machine grinding, and part inspection. The role involves working on precision parts, assisting with system assembly, and supporting site visits when necessary.

    The role would suit someone with a strong machining background who takes pride in producing accurate work and enjoys working as part of a skilled engineering team.

    Key Responsibilities

    Set and operate CNC milling machines to manufacture precision engineered components
    Work with Mazak and/or Doosan machinery to produce parts to specification
    Interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
    Carry out inspections and quality checks
    Make program adjustments and offsets where required
    Ensure components meet quality standards and customer specifications
    Minimise machine downtime and maximise productivity
    Complete production documentation accurately
    Maintain machinery and work areas to high housekeeping standards 

    Skills, Experience & Training Requirements

    Minimum 3 years' experience as a CNC Miller
    Experience reading engineering drawings
    Strong understanding of machining processes and tooling
    Experience carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment
    Experience working with Mazak CNC machines
    Experience working with Doosan CNC machines
    Experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
    Relevant engineering or machining qualifications (desired)
