Role Overview – Area Sales Manager
Our client, a long-standing and highly regarded engineering services business, is looking to appoint an Area Sales Manager to support continued growth across the UK and Europe.
Key Responsibilities – Area Sales Manager
Proactively identify and secure new business opportunities
Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients
Visit customer sites to assess requirements and recommend suitable solutions
Act as a key contact for all customer enquiries relating to products and services
Effectively manage your own schedule to optimise customer engagement
Produce detailed quotations and proposals alongside internal teams
Lead negotiations and manage the full sales cycle
Monitor order progress to ensure timely delivery and client satisfaction
Prepare and maintain accurate sales and contract documentation
Provide ongoing aftersales care to strengthen long-term partnerships
Liaise with production teams to ensure smooth project delivery
Build and maintain relationships with agents where relevant
Key Experience & Qualifications – Area Sales Manager
Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualification
Proven experience in B2B technical sales
Experience managing and developing a sales territory
Background in capital equipment, foundry services, or industrial maintenance is beneficial
Strong project management and organisational skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to build credibility and trust with a wide range of stakeholders
Self-driven with a strong focus on achieving results
High level of attention to detail and adaptability
