How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    SEMH & Challenging Behaviour Learning Support Assistant Are you passionate about supporting children who require additional emotional and behavioural support to succeed in school?

    A nurturing and inclusive primary school in Lambeth is seeking a dedicated SEMH & Challenging Behaviour Learning Support Assistant to join their committed support team. Working through our education recruitment agency, you will play a vital role in helping pupils overcome barriers to learning, develop positive relationships, and achieve their full potential both academically and socially.

    This role is ideal for aspiring teachers, educational psychologists, counsellors, youth workers, social workers, and graduates looking to gain valuable school-based experience.

    The Role As a SEMH & Challenging Behaviour Learning Support Assistant, you will:

    Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.
    Support children who may display challenging behaviour, emotional dysregulation, low self-esteem, or difficulties engaging with learning.
    Build positive, trusting relationships that encourage pupils to feel safe, supported, and motivated.
    Implement behaviour support plans and personalised intervention strategies.
    Help pupils develop emotional regulation, resilience, social skills, and self-confidence.
    Support classroom engagement and promote positive learning behaviours.
    Work closely with teachers, the SENCO, pastoral staff, and external professionals.
    Record and monitor pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing outcomes.The Ideal Candidate We are looking for individuals who:

    Have experience working with children or young people in schools, youth work, mentoring, coaching, care, or support settings.
    Have a strong interest in SEMH, behaviour support, child development, and inclusive education.
    Are patient, resilient, empathetic, and confident managing challenging situations.
    Possess strong communication and relationship-building skills.
    Are committed to making a positive difference in the lives of vulnerable children.Experience supporting SEMH, Autism, ADHD, or behavioural needs is desirable but not essential.
