Mechanical Supervisor - Canary Wharf

£300-£350 per day (Outside IR35) | Long-Term Contract

We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to join a leading M&E contractor on a flagship commercial fit-out project in Canary Wharf.

This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-profile development, supporting the delivery of a fast-paced commercial scheme with a significant mechanical package. The successful candidate will play a key role in driving quality, safety, and programme performance throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate all mechanical installation activities on site
Manage subcontractors and direct labour to ensure works are delivered safely, on programme, and to specification
Monitor daily progress and report updates to the Mechanical Site Manager and Project Team
Ensure compliance with all health & safety procedures, RAMS, and site standards
Conduct quality inspections and oversee snagging and defect resolution
Coordinate labour, materials, plant, and logistics to maintain project momentum
Attend site meetings and liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams
Review drawings and technical information to ensure works are installed correctly
Maintain accurate site records, progress reports, and quality documentation

Requirements

Proven experience as a Mechanical Supervisor on commercial fit-out or building services projects
Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, pipework, plant rooms, and mechanical building services installations
SSSTS or SMSTS certification
CSCS Card
Excellent leadership and communication skills
Experience managing subcontractors on fast-paced commercial projects
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and construction programmes
