How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

    Shift Engineer
    London Bridge
    £50,000 – £55,000 + Overtime Opportunities

    Looking for a role with an easy commute and excellent earning potential? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading Building Services provider at a prestigious commercial site just moments from London Bridge Station.

    We're seeking either a mechanically or electrically biased Shift Engineer to become part of a highly skilled on-site team. Working a continental shift pattern, you'll enjoy a great work-life balance while maintaining a varied and technically challenging role within a modern, high-profile building.

    The Role As a Shift Engineer, you'll be responsible for delivering both planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across a critical commercial environment, ensuring all building systems operate safely, efficiently, and reliably.

    Key Responsibilities
    Planned and reactive maintenance across building services systems
    Electrical or mechanical fault finding and repairs
    AHUs, FCUs, pumps, motors and associated plant
    UPS systems and emergency lighting
    BMS monitoring and operation
    Fire alarms and sprinkler systems
    HVAC equipment maintenance
    Permit-to-work management
    Health & Safety compliance
    Site logbooks and compliance documentation Requirements
    City & Guilds / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
    Experience within commercial building maintenance
    Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
    Professional and customer-focused approach
    HVAP qualification is beneficial but not essential Package
    £50,000 – £55,000 salary
