How our sorting works

The order in which job vacancies are displayed is determined by a composite score based on the following factors:

  • Keyword Relevance: How well your search terms match the vacancy details. We prioritize matches found in the job title, followed by job requirements, location names, and educational levels. Matches within general employer information or the organization's name carry a lower weight.
  • Commercial Prioritization (Premium Jobs): Vacancies paid for by employers ('Premium' or 'Sponsored') receive a ranking boost and will appear higher in the search results.
  • Recency (Date Relevance): Newer vacancies are prioritized. The relevance score of a vacancy is reduced by half once the posting is older than 30 days.
  • Proximity (Distance Relevance): Vacancies located closer to your search location are ranked higher. For vacancies located more than 30 km from the search center, the relevance score is halved.
The final ranking is established by multiplying all these individual factors to calculate the total relevance score.

Operational Leadership: Oversee and optimise daily production, warehousing, and operational planning activities.

Team Development: Lead, inspire, and develop a tier of department managers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.

Performance Excellence: Track, analyse, and improve operational performance utilising robust KPIs and data-driven insights.

Continuous Improvement: Champion LEAN methodologies to streamline processes, eliminate waste, and support business growth.

Compliance & Safety: Ensure the highest standards of Health & Safety, Quality, and regulatory compliance are maintained across all sites.

    Core Experience & Skills:

Proven Track Record: Significant leadership experience within Operations Management, Manufacturing Management, or a closely related industrial environment.

People First: A proven ability to lead other managers, develop teams, and manage diverse stakeholder relationships seamlessly.

Operational Grip: A deep understanding of end-to-end production, warehousing, and practical capacity planning.

Analytical Mindset: Strong problem-solving capabilities with experience managing operational output through data and KPIs.

    Desirable:

Experience working within fast-paced FMCG or manufacturing sectors.

Proven success navigating rapid business growth or managing highly seasonal demand fluctuations.

Hands-on knowledge of LEAN, Continuous Improvement, or Operational Excellence frameworks.

Experience implementing new operational systems, planning processes, or governance frameworks.

A strong conceptual understanding of supply chain dynamics, inventory management, and production planning.

    Benefits:

The opportunity to shape the operational future of a leading regional business.

A highly competitive salary and benefits package including 31 days holiday, private healthcare, enhanced pick pay and annual bonus

A supportive environment that values autonomy, strategic input, and career progression
